If I am completely honest, it’s been emotional putting together this post! I’ve been thinking about what to write for the past couple of day since this family is so near and dear to my heart! Spending Grant’s first year with them was like an invitation into their lives. Newborn days are SO tough! Sarah and Mark welcomed me into their home during those sleep deprived, difficult first weeks & trusted me with their new little man. The span of a year seems so minimal as adults, but the change between a newborn and one year old is so evident in the photos. You can actually SEE his personality grow & shine before your eyes, which is just amazing. His humor (gets that “honest” to be sure), his laid back attitude (also a family trait!) and maturing from a baby into a toddler. These photos mark the creation of a family, from the first weeks “getting to know” each other to the busy days filled by an “on the go” almost toddler. Essentially the growth of Sarah and Mark as a mother and a father, look how well they settled into this role in just 12 short months! The year came and went and although memories are forever, these photographs serve as a tangible reminder and celebration of Grant’s entrance into this world. The “Baby First Year Plan” is the ultimate form of delayed gratification, but in looking at the photos below, I’m assured that the effort, dedication and planning paid off. In a very big way.
Happy “Birth”day, Grant!
